A little bit of our background. Knowing us a bit will help to understand what drives Wanga Fashion.
The beginning
All the way back to 2002
Wanga Fashion started in 2002, being one of the first digital boutiques in The Netherlands selling second hand designer clothes on E-Bay. In 2004 we opened our first shop in Kinkerstraat, Amsterdam, a wonderful venture that lasted 4 years.

In 2016, after spending a few years in Dubai and Berlin providing clothing, styling and music services for the fashion industry, Wanga Fashion returned back home with the intention to be an expression of everything we have learned and loved along the way.
On-Line Business
2016. Fashion Marketplaces
In 2016 there were a significan amount of Luxury Fashion related marketplaces. Vestiaire Collective, Rebelle, VideDressing, The Next Closet, The RealReal...

We decided to give exposure to our entire catalog in those portals and the response was fantastic. We were evaluating to create our Online shop for direct sales but the maintenance and marketing costs were so high that we decided to "sell from home" with a 100% digital business and exclusively through some of those marketplaces.
​
So there we were, having half of our home dedicated to store all our collection and working mostly from the living room and the garden. Property prices started growing exponentially (Same time as Corona crisis) and by the end of 2021 we had to move from Utrecht; and it was at that time when we asked the magic question: Where?

Brunssum
2021. We want to open a shop
After evaluating all the options in Netherlands we decided that Limburg offered us the best possibilities, both from a professional and personal level. So we started searching for houses with a shop on the ground floor. The idea: Go back to basics while keeping our On-line Business running. Separate our business from our living space. To share time with people face to face. To combine everything we have learned and everything we love. To enjoy with people little moments. To hear good music. To fix things. To create art. We missed the human connection of traditional businesses and we wanted it back :)

And then we found a property in Kerkstraat 7. Why Brunssum? There is not a really a Why. We were around the area for quite some time looking for properties and life brought us here. It could have been any other city around, but it happened to be here. We took the opportunity and here we are. And we love it :)
